Privacy Policy
How StageWire (ABN 92 878 043 149) handles personal information. We follow the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Effective 11 August 2026
1. What we collect
Account information. Your email address and a securely hashed password. If you enable two-factor authentication, we store the enrolment record for your authenticator, never the codes it generates.
Billing information. Your subscription status, plan, and a customer reference from Stripe. We do not see or store your card number. Stripe collects and holds card details directly.
Wire configuration. The Facebook Page URLs you connect, and your design settings.
Event data. Publicly visible event listings from the Pages you connect, including titles, descriptions, dates, venues, and images. This is cached so your embed loads quickly. Where an event listing contains a person's name, for example a performer, that information came from the public Page and is reproduced as published.
Technical information. Standard server and security logs, including IP address, browser type, and request times, kept by our hosting provider.
2. Why we collect it
To create and secure your account, to render and deliver your event guide, to take payment and manage your subscription, to provide support, and to keep the service running safely and lawfully.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your information for third-party advertising.
3. Who else handles it
We use these providers to run the service. Each handles only what it needs to.
- Supabase, database and authentication.
- Vercel, application hosting and content delivery.
- Stripe, payment processing and subscription billing.
- Apify, retrieval of publicly visible event listings from the Pages you connect.
- Our email provider, delivery of account emails such as sign-up confirmations and password resets.
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. By using StageWire you consent to that disclosure. We take reasonable steps to use providers that offer appropriate protection.
4. Cookies
We set a session cookie so you stay signed in, and a cookie needed for security. These are strictly necessary for the dashboard to work. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Event guides embedded on a venue website do not set cookies on that site's visitors.
5. How long we keep it
Account and Wire information is kept while your account is open. Deleted Wires are archived rather than erased immediately, so that your history and settings survive if you restore one.
After you close your account we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, unless we are required to keep it, for example transaction records kept for tax purposes.
6. Security
Access to your data is restricted at the database level so that one account cannot read another's. Passwords are hashed, traffic is encrypted in transit, and administrative credentials are held server-side only. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access.
If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
7. Accessing, correcting, and deleting your information
You can view and change most of your information in the dashboard. For anything else, email support@stagewire.co and we will respond within a reasonable time, normally 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first.
8. If you are named in an event listing
If you are a performer or organiser whose name appears in a StageWire event guide, that listing was published on a public Facebook Page by the venue. Ask the venue to change or remove the Facebook post and the change will flow through on the next sync. You can also email us and we will help.
9. Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, email support@stagewire.co and we will investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the current version. If a change is material we will tell you by email or in the dashboard.
